Which basil should be used to brew?
There are two types of Tulsi, one is green which is called Rama Tulsi and the other is slightly black color which is called Shyama Tulsi. Whereas Shyama Tulsi is spicy and bitter, soft, smooth, light to digest, absorbent and beneficial in gout.

Method of making basil(Tulsi) decoction
Take a cup of water in a pan and put it to boil. Now add 7-8 basil leaves, 1/2 teaspoon celery, 2-3 black pepper, 3-4 cloves, a pinch of salt, 1/2 piece of ginger. Boil the water until it remains half a cup. Then filter it and drink it hot.
