ED seeks 14-day custody of NCP leader Nawab Malik in money laundering case

Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday sought 14-day custody of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik in connection with the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim money laundering case.
He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate today. According to sources, Malik was not cooperating during the interrogation.

Soon after the arrest, the leader said that he was not scared and would fight and win.

Earlier in the day, the ED had summoned Malik in the alleged money laundering case involving underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Last Tuesday, the ED had raided the residence of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in Mumbai in connection with the money laundering case.

The ED conducted searches at several places in Mumbai linked to the underworld. Sources gave this information on Tuesday.

The ED had raided 10 different places in Nagpada linked to late Haseena Parkar, sister of Dawood Ibrahim.

The agency had also questioned Dawood’s nephew and Parkar’s son Alishah Parkar and Chhota Shakeel’s henchman Salim Qureshi alias Salim Fruits. (ANI)
