Hubli (Karnataka) [India], October 14 (ANI): A family in Hubli, Karnataka has been organizing a toy exhibition on the occasion of Dussehra every year for the last 30 years.

Hubli (Karnataka) [India], October 14 (ANI): A family in Hubli, Karnataka has been organizing a toy exhibition on the occasion of Dussehra every year for the last 30 years.
Dussehra festival marks the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated in many ways all over India. The people of the southern states celebrate by displaying colorful toys called ‘Bombay Habba’ in Kannada or ‘Bommala Koluvu’ in Telugu.
Speaking to ANI, Bharathi Nandakumar, a member of the family said, “We display dolls of Dashavatar, Ramavatar, Ashtalakshmi and others to explain the stories related to these avatars to the children.”
Bharti’s daughter-in-law Sharnaya said that the concept of celebrating Dussehra is very unique and interesting.
He said, “This kind of celebration of Dussehra is very new for me as it is not happening in my motherland. We used to celebrate the festival only by doing Durga Puja. I really liked it when I saw this concept.” .
Sharnaya further added, “The concept is great and it is really interesting to present the stories of mythology to the kids in this way.” (ANI)
