New Delhi: It has been 10 years since Jagjit Singh passed away and the world is still mourning the loss of the Ghazal player.

On Jagjit Singh’s 10th death anniversary, many fans took to social media to pay tribute to the late artist. From sharing pictures to uploading their favorite ghazals of Jagjit Singh, fans remembered him in their own special way.

A Twitter user wrote, “On the death anniversary of Music King Jagjit Singh Ji, I pay a sincere and soulful tribute to him. His performances always touch the heart and enthrall the listeners. May his name and fame live on.”

“I had a dream, wanted to be in a weird-a concert where Jagjit Singh ji would sing only for me. I think we all have felt that his songs always resonate in our lives and affect our deep veins. Let’s do. Hubby then booked VIP seats for a show in Houston in 2003 and said I’m not,” tweeted another.

Political party Congress has also paid tribute to Jagjit Singh. “We remember Jagjit Singh on his death anniversary. He is known as the King of Ghazals and is famous among many generations across the world for his music and has made the country proud in front of the world throughout his music career. ,” read a tweet on the official Twitter handle of the Congress party.

Padma Bhushan awardee Jagjit Singh passed away on October 10, 2011. He was 70 when he breathed his last.

Apart from the Khan of ghazals who redefined the genre in the modern Indian music scene, Jagjit Singh left behind memorable hits in Bollywood, including ‘Hon Se Chhu Lo Tum’ (‘Love Song’), ‘Tum Itna Jo Muskaan’ are’ included. (‘Earth’), ‘Chitti Na Koi Sandesh’ (‘enemy’), and ‘Koi Priyaad’ (‘You Bin’).
