First time voters ensured BJP’s victory in four states: PM Modi

new Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said first-time voters ensured BJP’s victory in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

Prime Minister Modi said, “I am happy that for the first time voters participated in the elections and ensured BJP’s victory.”

“BJP workers had promised me that Holi would start from March 10 this year, and they have kept their promise. These workers worked round the clock and were successful in winning the trust of the people in the states,” he said.

Calling the victory “Victory 4”, the prime minister thanked all voters for “participating in the festival of democracy and ensuring the BJP wins”.

“BJP’s vote share has increased even after being in power in Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Goa. BJP’s seats have increased in the state,” he said.

PM Modi said that all exit polls in Goa were proved wrong and the people of Goa have given BJP a chance to serve him for the third time in a row.

He said, ‘We have also created history in Uttarakhand. For the first time any party has come to power continuously.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to return to power with a comfortable majority for an unprecedented second term in Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Manipur and Uttarakhand and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is poised for a historic victory in Punjab. (ANI)
