Police had taken control of the bodies and sent them to Una hospital for post-mortem examination, UNI news agency reported quoting an official spokesman.
He said the car hit the surveyor and fell into the fields as a result, two died on the spot and three on the way to Una hospital.
With the arrest of the bodies, the police have started an investigation into the incident.
According to the information, the Punjab number car crashed at Kuthar Kalan village around 12.30 pm.
Four of the dead hailed from different villages in Una district, while one was a resident of Punjab’s Ropar district.
The two who died on the spot are identified as: Rajan Jaswal and Amal. The other three died at Una Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
