Floods, lightning and heavy rains have claimed 13 lives and rescued more than 560 people. Heavy rains have also been warned in the coming days in various states including Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh.

13 deaths in Maharashtra

At least 13 people have died in parts of Maharashtra due to heavy rains, floods and lightning. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. Meanwhile, with the help of NDRF, more than 560 people have been rescued.

In addition, more than 200 cattle have been killed or washed away. In Marathwada, several houses were also damaged in the torrential rains on Sunday and Monday. It started raining in Mumbai this morning. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in Mumbai today and it will be cloudy throughout the day.
