Four died and 13 were injured when a speeding car ran over workers in MP Ratlam


Ratlam: At least four people were killed and 13 others injured when a speeding car, which reportedly lost control, rammed into people working on the roadside in Madhya Pradesh’s Ratlam.

According to reports, a speeding car ran over workers working on the roadside near Jamuniya village on the Mhow-Neemuch highway, which is about 18 kilometers from Ratlam district.

Hindi daily Naidunia reported that 4 workers died on the spot and 13 others were injured in the accident.

Among the injured, eight workers are residents of Aligarh and Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh and five were passengers in the car.

Nearby people arrived at the scene and sent the dead and injured to the regional hospital in a loading truck.

After getting the information Ratlam Collector and Ratlam Superintendent of Police arrived at the District Hospital.

The accident is suspected to have been caused by the driver falling asleep and eventually losing control of the vehicle.

The real cause of the accident is being investigated.
