New Delhi: A heart-wrenching picture is coming out from Borivali area of Mumbai. Here the four-storey building collapsed in a few seconds. The sight was certainly horrifying for anyone who witnessed the incident.

The building collapsed like a pack of cards. Thankfully no one was hurt in the incident. The building was located in the Sai Baba Nagar area of Borivali.

The building was identified as the A-wing of the Gitanjali Complex. There are 4 buildings in the Gitanjali complex. All of them have been nominated under C1 category by BMC (Mumbai Municipal Corporation) in 2020 itself.

Staying here was like taking a chance with life. However, residents challenged the BMC’s decision in the High Court. Since the matter was sub-judice, the BMC did not take any action against the residents of the building.

Residents felt the tremors in the A Wing building of Geetanjali Complex today. At around 10 am, three families living in the building were evacuated. The building collapsed within two hours of the evacuation.
