J&K Encounter: Another encounter between security forces and terrorists took place in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning. (J&K encounter) It may be noted that on Friday, five soldiers were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Rajouri. Earlier on Thursday, two terrorists were killed in Baramulla, while two terrorists were killed by security forces in Kupwara on Wednesday.
Baramulla SSP Amod Ashok Nagpure said suspicious activities were reported. After that, a cordon and search were carried out. In the meantime, the terrorists who were already present fired at us, and in retaliation, one terrorist was killed. He said that in view of the G20 summit, our army is ready and we will neutralize the threat and the G20 summit will be held successfully.

J&K Encounter: Baramulla
Two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Baramulla district on Thursday. According to the police, incriminating materials, weapons and ammunition, including an AK 47 rifle and a pistol, were found.
According to the police, the two terrorists killed in the encounter are local residents and belong to the banned terror outfit Lashkar. They have been identified as Shakir Majeed Nazar and Hanan Ahmed Sheh from Shopian district. Both joined the military in March 2023.
Kupwara encounter
Earlier on Wednesday, two terrorists were killed after the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid near Pichnad Machil sector in Kupwara.
Srinagar-based defense spokesman Colonel Amron Mousavi said the troops were put on high alert on Monday based on specific intelligence from the Inspector General of Police, Kupwara, about possible infiltration from a terrorist launch pad towards the Machil sector of the checkpoint.
