New Delhi: Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on 2nd October, as the name suggests, people all over the world celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. One of the greatest historical figures, Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar. Known for his philosophy of non-violence or non-violence, Bapu’s birth anniversary is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence declared by the United Nations General Assembly.
