New Delhi: Ladakh’s Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur inaugurated the world’s largest Khadi national flag in Leh.

The flag was unveiled on a day when the country is celebrating the birth anniversary of the “Father of the Nation” Mahatma Gandhi, with whom Khadi is synonymous. The 225 feet long and 150 feet wide flag, weighing over 1,400 kg, was unveiled on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane was also present during the unveiling.

Vinay Kumar said, “This national flag is the largest flag in the world made of Khadi. Its length is 225 feet, width 150 feet and weight is 1400 kg. The flag covers an area of ​​37,500 square feet. It takes 49 years to complete this flag. Took days.” Saxena, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission.
