Google Pixel Watch to launch with Exynos SoC & New Google Assistant

New Delhi: Google Pixel Watch can be launched soon. The watch could launch with Exynos SoC and new Google Assistant.

A recent report by 9to5Google found mention of “PIXEL_EXPERIENCE_WATCH”, which not only strengthens the case for smartwatches to bear the Pixel name, but also suggests that a Pixel smartwatch might be exclusive to the new wearable. Will receive Wear OS features. In addition to the Pixel name and features, Wear OS 3 will receive the most recent update to Google Assistant, which will be able to understand voice queries and perform tasks while offline. This capability is currently only reserved for select Pixel smartphones.

The report mentions that an Exynos (Samsung-made) SoC for the Pixel Watch is highly likely considering the possibility of on-device speech processing along with the updated Google Assistant. The wearable’s SoC can be either Exynos-branded or Tensor-branded, but either of those will still be made by Samsung.

It is too early to tell whether any of the above will be true. The Google Pixel Watch is expected to arrive sometime in 2022, but there’s no concrete timeline on when that might happen.

Earlier this month, a leaked marketing image of the Google Pixel Watch showed a round watch body and a low-profile touch screen with a rounded edge all around.
