The Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry has issued new guidelines on Thursday, 29 April, to keep Corona patients in home isolation. According to this, patients who have early or no symptoms of Covid, should stay at home isolation at home. Along with them, people coming into contact will also have to stay in the home quarantine.
On behalf of Health Minister, Dr. Harshvardhan the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said, full care of the corona infected person has to be taken care of at home. In addition, the family of the infected person will have to be in constant contact with the hospital or doctors. Home isolation can be eradicated at least 10 days after symptoms of corona appear, but be careful if fever does not occur for three consecutive days.
Special features of the new guidelines
Permission required for home isolation
-Patients who have HIV, cancer and transplant.
-Patients who are above 60 years of age and are comarvid.
Important things for the patient
-Have cross ventilation and keep the window of the room open.
-Patient should always wear a triple layer mask.
-It is mandatory to change the patient’s mask every 8 hours.
-The patient will have to stay in one room.
-It will be prohibited to roam the entire house.
-The patient must make a proper distance from the rest of the members of the household.
-Restrictions on visiting elderly and sick persons.
-The patient has been advised to gargle with lukewarm water twice a day and take steam.
Liquid diet and comfort are essential
-Patients living in home isolash will have to be included in the maximum liquid diet.
-Those staying at home have been advised to take maximum rest.
-It is mandatory to use plus oximeter to monitor blood oxygen saturation.
-With this, it is necessary to take temperature at 4 hours daily.
