New Delhi: Veteran star Sharmila Tagore turned 77 on Wednesday, as family members including daughter-in-law Kareena Kapoor Khan, granddaughter Sara Ali Khan and daughter Soha Ali Khan took to social media to wish her a happy birthday.
Kareena posted a beautiful monochrome picture of the ‘Amar Prem’ actor on her Instagram story, and wrote, “Happy birthday to my beautiful mother-in-law… Iconic.”
Soha Ali Khan also posted an adorable picture with her mother on her Instagram handle, along with a quirky caption.
“Happy birthday to the apple tree,” she wrote.
Sara Ali Khan shared pictures with her “elder amma” on her Instagram handle and added a heartfelt message.
She wrote, “Happy Birthday Badi Amma. I love you so much. Thank you for always being here for us and being a constant pillar of support. Inshallah, I hope I can make you proud always.”
Sharmila Tagore made her acting debut in 1959 with Satyajit Ray’s Apur Sansar. She made her Bollywood debut in 1964 with ‘Kashmir Ki Kali’ co-starring Shammi Kapoor.
The legendary actor gave successful films including ‘Aradhana’, ‘Chupke Chupke’ and ‘Amar Prem’.
