According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rain is forecast in many states including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Goa for the next today and tomorrow. Along with this, rains are expected in Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra on August 15 and 16.
According to the IMD, there is a chance of rain in Delhi today. The rain is expected to continue for the next three days. Actually, Southwest Monsoon is active over western and eastern Rajasthan. Weather remains dry in northwest India. Light rains have been recorded in some states of North India. In this episode, there may be rain in Delhi-NCR for the next three days from today.
A red alert has been issued today for heavy rains in Odisha. There is a possibility of heavy rains and flood-like situations in many districts here. There is a chance of light rain over some parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, it may rain in parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh today. There is also a chance of rain over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Along with this, there is a chance of rain in some parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar.
Rain is also expected in Gujarat, Konkan and Goa today. It is being reported that due to the formation of a new weather system, heavy rains may occur in parts of Odisha, Jharkhand and Bengal. According to the IMD, a new low pressure area is likely to form over Odisha.
