According to the Finnish Meteorological Institute, the depression over central India is gradually weakening and moving west. However, despite this, rain will continue in many states of central India. Due to rains, some coastal cities of Gujarat and Maharashtra may also face flood like situation.
IMD has predicted continued heavy rains over North Konkan, North Central Maharashtra and East and West Vidarbha today and tomorrow. Orange and yellow alert has been given to many districts in this regard.
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain is likely to continue over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and North-Eastern parts during the next three days.
Along with this, heavy rain is expected today in many parts of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Assam. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Arunachal Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Telangana, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
