LiDAR, or light detection and ranging, allows users to scan and map the environment. It works like a radar. However, the distance and depth are only measured with a laser. Before I continue, let me tell you that LiDAR Scanner is not included in all iPhones.
This feature is only available for iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 Pro models. That is, you can only use it on iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max, and iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models.
The measurement application will work
You can use it with the iPhone Measure app. To do this, you first need to open the Measure app on your iPhone. Next, point your iPhone toward the person whose height you want to measure.
You have to aim the camera from top to bottom. After a while, a line will appear on top of the person. It will appear below the altimeter line. To take a photo of the measurement, click the Take Photo button.
To save the photo, tap the screenshot in the lower left corner. Then click Done, then click Save Photo or Save to File. You can easily share altimeter photos from photos or files.
To take the measurement again, you need to remove the iPhone from the moment. This resets the height and allows you to take the measurement again.
