‘Home Alone’ fame Devin Ratray arrested on domestic violence charges


New Delhi: Devin Ratray, known for his ‘home alone’ tenure, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of domestic violence.

According to People Magazine, Ratray was arrested earlier this month after Oklahoma City officials issued a warrant in relation to an altercation with a woman. According to online court records, the 44-year-old actor has been charged with one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and one more count of domestic assault and battery.

The state of Oklahoma issued the warrant on Tuesday, records show. His bond was set at USD 25,000.

Officials told Fox News that the actor “turned himself in and was processed and bonded” on Wednesday.

On December 15, a week after the arrest, Oklahoma City police told People magazine that they had closed the case and that no arrests were expected in the case.

According to a heavy-handed police report obtained by Page Six, the woman alleged that Ratray punched her in the face, covered her mouth with his hand and tried to strangle her.

A spokesman for the Oklahoma City Police Department previously confirmed the incident to the outlet, but did not confirm the woman’s identity, citing privacy concerns.

In documents obtained by KFOR, the woman was reportedly identified as Ratrey’s girlfriend. According to the news station, she told the police that the two got into an argument at a bar and she left him to return to her hotel room.

The woman said that Ratre followed her to the hotel, where she was allegedly assaulted.

Ratre rose to prominence in the early 1990s when he played Buzz McCallister, the older brother of Macaulay Culkin’s character in the first two “Home Alone” films. In recent years, Ratre has also played roles in shows such as HBO’s “Girls”, “Hawaii Five-0”, “Chicago Med” and “The Tick”.

Rattray recently told People magazine that a “Home Alone” reunion was in the works with some of the original cast members. He also reprized his role as Buzz in the film Home Sweet Home Alone on Disney+.
