Housing, revenue and local government ministers brainstorm ideas to bring reforms to urban property buyers


New Delhi: The Punjab government is proposing a comprehensive mechanism to ensure planned development in urban areas and make property purchase transparent and hassle-free. This was stated by Aman Arora, Minister of Housing and Urban Development of Punjab after a brainstorming meeting with other ministers.

He attended a high-level meeting along with his two cabinet colleagues Bram Shanker Jimpa, Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation and Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Minister for Local Government at Punjab Bhawan.

During the meeting, the Cabinet Ministers thoroughly discussed the issues and problems faced by the legitimate/genuine buyers of urban properties and to resolve the issues related to property registration so that people get property related services from ‘a perfect and transparent way.

The ministers said that all issues related to NOC for property registration will be resolved soon as the Mann government is leaving no stone unturned to provide smooth and bias-free services. The Chief Minister is personally monitoring the issue.

“Today, together with my cabinet colleagues, we brainstormed to solve the problems related to property registration and planned development in urban areas. A comprehensive mechanism will be put in place to solve all the problems related to urban property,” said the Minister of Housing and Urban Development.

Reiterating the Punjab government’s firm commitment to the welfare of Punjab and its people, the cabinet ministers urged Punjabis to be a little more patient as the Mann government is working hard to bring about reforms and streamline the system, which was messed up by the nefarious policies of successive governments. resulting in undue inconvenience to the common people. Now the Aam Aadmi Party has come to power to clean up and streamline the system for the betterment of the state and its people, they added.

Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab A. Venu Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner Anurag Agarwal, Principal Secretary Local Government Vivek Pratap Singh and Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Ajoy Kumar Sinha were also present at the meeting.
