‘If I was selector, I would take Rishabh Pant in every game’

New Delhi: Former Australian opener Matthew Hayden has made a big statement about Team India’s star wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. Hayden said that if he had been the selector, he would have played Rishabh Pant in every single match, regardless of his form.

Statement by Matthew Hayden to Pant

In a statement, the Australian cricketer said, “If I was a selector, I would have picked Rishabh Pan in every team. He is your future player. They need a lot of support and time. Even if he stays in bad shape, he should still get a place in the team. He is a great player in every way.

Pant and Karthik fight

Currently, Team India has two goalkeepers, Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik. In any match, only one of these two players will be given the opportunity to be part of the playing XI. It has also been seen in the last many matches that when Karthik plays, Pant does not play and when Pant plays, Karthik does not get a chance.

Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik – Only one has a chance

Dinesh Karthik was given an opportunity in the first T20 against Australia in Mohali on Tuesday, while Rishabh Pant was not picked. The second match will be played in Nagarpur on September 23. Team India reached Nagpur. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see if Rishabh Pant gets a chance or not. However, if that happens then Dinesh Karthik can be dropped.
