According to weather experts, the monsoon trough is moving to North South India. Due to this, good rains are possible over coastal areas including central India. Meanwhile, many parts of North India may also receive rain.
According to the Meteorological Department, many areas of Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are likely to experience rain today. Heavy rains may occur at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. There is a chance of rain in Gujarat and many parts of Maharashtra today.
Meanwhile, as a result of a new low pressure forming over the Bay of Bengal from today, rains are likely to increase again in the state from August 15 onwards.
According to private forecaster Skymet Weather, another round of rain may begin in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Mahesh Palawat says the ‘Monsoon Trough’ will move to northern parts for some time and Delhi and other areas may experience light to moderate rain from Saturday. During this time, only minor relief is expected.
