Weather update: According to the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), many states in the country experience seasonal variation. The country’s weather pattern is changing rapidly. While it snows in the mountains, it rains continuously in the southern states. Mild cold has started in northern and central India, but Delhi and its surrounding areas are also worried about pollution.

There was also some snow in the hilly areas. Upper Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have received light snowfall and rain in the last three-four days due to a western disturbance over the western Himalayas. As a result, the temperature in these places is constantly decreasing.

The plains of north and central India are likely to experience snowfall and rain soon, according to the meteorological department. Cold weather is expected in these areas between November 8 and 9. Several states of the country, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Odisha, will soon experience cold weather.

Cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal is also to blame for the continuous rain for the past three to four days. According to the Meteorological Department, today may bring rain from the Northeast Monsoon in various regions of the country including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Karaikal.

According to private weather forecasting organization Skymet Weather, today may bring light rain and snow in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Himachal Pradesh. Rain is also likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Karnataka.

Many places including Punjab, South Assam and Manipur may experience rain. On the other hand, in Delhi’s AQI rating, most places are in the severe category.
