Several states of the country, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Odisha, will soon experience cold weather.
Cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal is also to blame for the continuous rain for the past three to four days. According to the Meteorological Department, today may bring rain from the Northeast Monsoon in various regions of the country including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry and Karaikal.
According to private weather forecasting organization Skymet Weather, today may bring light rain and snow in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Himachal Pradesh. Rain is also likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Karnataka.
Many places including Punjab, South Assam and Manipur may experience rain. On the other hand, in Delhi’s AQI rating, most places are in the severe category.
