IMD predicts very heavy rainfall in these areas for the next 3 days

New Delhi: At the time of the southwest monsoon’s departure, rain activity can be seen in many states across the country. Meanwhile, IMD forecast weather is likely to remain dry over north-west India due to anticyclonic currents, with chances of less rain over western Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi over the next 05 days. At the same time, conditions may become favorable for a 3-day retreat of the southwest monsoon from some parts of northwest India.

According to the Meteorological Department, the time has come for the monsoon to depart from the capital, Delhi. According to IMD, today, September 19, it can remain cloudy in the capital Delhi. There is also occasional drizzle. If we talk about the temperature, the minimum temperature is 25 degrees and the maximum temperature is 35 degrees.

According to Skymet weather forecasting agency, the monsoon trough is now moving towards Ganganagar, Hisar, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Gaya, Ranchi, Balasore and then southeast towards East Central Bay of Bengal. A cyclone circulation is over northeast Uttar Pradesh and the adjacent region. Another cyclonic circulation overlies East Central and the adjacent northeastern Bay of Bengal, extending up to 3.6 miles (5.8 km) above sea level. Under its influence, a low pressure system is expected to develop over the northwestern Bay of Bengal off Odisha and the coast of West Bengal by September 20th. A trough extends from South Interior Karnataka to the Gulf of Mannar at lower levels.

Rain in these states for the next five days

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a chance of light to moderate rain and thunderstorms in many areas of Uttarakhand and East Uttar Pradesh over the next 5 days. Simultaneously, there is a chance of light to heavy rain and thunderstorms in Assam and Meghalaya from today through September 21.

Light to moderate rain is possible in some parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, the rest of Northeast India, Uttarakhand, South Gujarat, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Telangana, according to Skymet weather forecasting agency. Light rain is possible over parts of Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Lakshadweep, Himachal Pradesh and South Madhya Maharashtra.
