Adelaide: After a poor batting performance, the Indian bowlers have also failed miserably against England in the T20 World Cup semi-final. When England opener Jos Buttler and Alex Hales came to chase the score for 169 runs, they could not stop them.
Rohit Sharma has tested each of his bowlers, but none have made the much-needed breakthrough for India. From Arshdeep Singh to Hardik Pandya, from Ravichandran Ashwin to Axar Patel, everyone failed to take a wicket.
Why India lose against England?
It is a collective poor performance by batsmen, bowlers and fielders that has put India in one of the most distressing states. After putting 168 runs on board, the bowlers failed to take a single wicket. Alex Hales completed his half-century and moved forward with strong momentum.
KL Rahul, Rohit Sharmam Surykumar Yadav failure
India’s opener KL Rahul failed to impress as he was bowled back for just 5 runs in the second over. India captain Rohit Sharma stayed on the pitch for a longer period but could not do much in 28 balls. Sharma made 27 runs and then gave way to star batsman Suryakumar Yadav.
When the fans put their hopes on the brave, but he also failed to overcome Salt who caught his ball near the boundary. Yadav was out for 14 runs.
