Indian Railways cancels over 240 trains, check list HERE

New Delhi: Indian Railways canceled more than 240 trains on Sunday due to maintenance and operational reasons. The Ministry of Railways said that 176 trains departing on 9/11 were completely canceled and 67 trains were partially cancelled.

The list of canceled trains includes trains from several cities like Delhi, Howrah, Asansol, Prayagraj, Guwahati, Madurai and others. The Railway Department also canceled 243 trains on Saturday due to technical and engineering works.

Here’s how to view the full list of canceled trains

1. Go to indianrail.gov.in/mntes and select your travel date
2. Then select Special Trains from the top panel of the screen
3. Click Canceled Trains
4. Select Full or Partial to see the full list of trains with timings, routes and other details
5. Now Indian Railway also allows you to check the live status of trains

This is how you can check the live running status of the train

1. Visit official website https://www.irctchhelp.in/live-train-running-status/
2. Enter the train number in the text box provided.
3. Select or enter the date in DD-MM-YYYY format.
4. Press the search button to get the results in tabular form
5. To check via SMS, send an SMS with the name “AD (Train number)” to 139
6. Dial 139 to contact Indian Railways
7. Train passengers can visit the official website for detailed information about train schedules, arrival and departure times, etc.
