Instagram Down In different parts of the world, netizens say Twitter is king


New Delhi: Popular photo-sharing app Instagram went down for thousands of users in different parts of the world on Thursday, according to outage tracking website Users were unable to post photos, share or update their Instagram feed, or send direct messages.

Instagram has acknowledged the problem users are facing and released a statement saying it is working on a solution. “We are aware that some people are having trouble accessing Instagram. We are working to get things back to normal ASAP. Sorry for any inconvenience, and wait a bit!” the photo-sharing platform said in a tweet.

Some users have taken to Twitter to vent their confusion and frustration over the same issue with the hashtag #InstagramDown. Some users even said that sharing jokes and GIFs on the app is causing them problems.

Shortly after users encountered problems on Instagram, the festive of funny memes took over the Twitter microblogging platform. Several users on Twitter reported that Instagram has been down for about an hour and they are unable to access their account on the app or website.

Updates show that users in the US, South America, Asia and Europe are being negatively affected by the Instagram outage, which began around 11:45 a.m. ET.

Although the cause of the technical issues is unknown, customers claim that they are unable to access their account, and even if they could, the feed does not load. This affects iOS and Android apps.
