The Head of Instagram, Mr Adam Mosseri, announced that the company has started testing the ‘Take a Break’ feature. Know how it will work
New Delhi: The Head of Instagram, Mr Adam Mosseri, announced that the company has started testing the ‘Take a Break’ feature.
The feature will help users control their Instagram addiction and encourage them to take breaks after spending a certain amount of time on the app. This is an opt-in feature that, once turned on, will allow users to set an in-app reminder to take a break from the Instagram app after continuous usage for 10, 20 or 30 minutes.
“The Take a Break feature has been developed as part of a wider effort to give people more control over their Instagram experience,” Mosseri said and “there will be more ideas like this in the future.” “
Instagram is working with third-party experts to develop the ‘Take a Break’ feature, and it will be rolling out to a small percentage of users in the coming days.
The company plans to launch this new feature in December. If the trial is successful, ‘Take a Break’ will be available to all users in a month or two.
