New Delhi: The Governing Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday confirmed that two new teams for the tournament will be announced on October 25.

The BCCI had earlier informed that they have decided to extend the date of purchase of Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the ownership and operation rights of one of the two proposed new IPL teams from the initial deadline of October 5 to October 10. .

The IPL’s Governing Council issued the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) document available on payment of non-refundable tender fees on August 31, 2021.

“Following the request of the interested parties, the BCCI has now decided to extend the date for procurement of ITT documents to October 10, 2021,” Jay Shah said in a statement.

ITT will be available to interested parties on receipt of payment of a non-refundable tender fee of Rs.10,00,000 (Rupees Ten Lakh only) and any applicable Goods and Services Tax. All other terms contained in the Invitation Document shall apply.

“Interested parties are requested to email [email protected] To obtain further details for purchasing ITT,” the statement added.
