Pune: Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad is locking horns with Rajasthan Royals in their opening game of the Indian Premier League 2022. Sanju Samson is leading RR and will eye on opening the season with a win. 

8:15 PM: Umran Malik has dismissed Jos Buttler for 35 runs, taking one of the most significant wickets for his side after 8.1 overs. Buttler made the most out of his time on crease as he hit 6 boundaries with 3 maximums.

8:02 PM, End of Powerplay:  Romario Shepherd got what SRH was searching for to create pressure on RR as he dismissed Jaiswal on the last ball of the 5th over for 20 runs. Jaiswal had settled will on the crease in a successful partnership with Jos Buttler. 

7:54 PM: Buttler and Jaiswal have started strong for their side getting on their first 50 within just 4.4 overs. Buttler scored 32 runs and 14 runs have been garnered by Yashasvi Jaiswal. SRH have shown errors that have cost them Jos’s wicket twice and 4 no ball runs. 

7:33 PM: Bhuvneshwar Kumar almost got the first wicket for his side on the third ball itself as the ball went in the air after hitting the ball of Jos Buttler and Abdul Samad caught it gracefully but the ball was given No Ball.

7:00 PM: Kane Williamson has started the game by winning the toss and opted to field first due to dew factor. “Really excited to get the tournament started. Every team is faced with the same challenges and it will be great to be get going,” said Williamson after toss. 

“Very excited for this season. Any time at the start of the IPL it is always an exciting time. Franchises have new squads together and they will be trying to gel quickly as a team and looking forward to getting our first match underway. My math is quite simple – to get as many (runs) as I can and as quickly as I can,” said Jos Buttler before the toss.
