Jammu-Srinagar National Highway closed due to landslide

SrinagarThe Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was closed for vehicular traffic on Saturday due to a landslide.

Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police (JK) tweeted, “Jammu-Srinagar National Highway closed for vehicular movement due to landslides, accumulation of boulders at several places on NHW and snow around Navyug Tunnel.” The Qazigund-Jammu-Srinagar highway is the only surface connectivity connecting the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the world.

The highway was closed due to landslides, landslides and falling of stones at various places in this stretch of 270 km.
