New Delhi: Team India suffered a big disappointment in Asia Cup 2022 as they were missing some key players from the squad. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Harshal Patel and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
Two of those players are back after fully recovering from injury and that will be festive news for the Men in Blue.
Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel trained
Both Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel have been rehabbing at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) to recover. However, he qualified for the T20 World Cup. Cricbuzz reports that Bumrah and Patel have reached their respective levels of fitness. Jasprit Bumrah has suffered a back injury while Harshal Patel has been ruled out with a side strain.
Bumrah-Patel get chance in T20 World Cup
After the Asia Cup, the Indian team was given a break of 11 days. Team India will now play a three-match T20 series against Australia at home from September 20. Four fast bowlers have been selected for Asia Cup 2022: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan, Hardik Pandya. But now Avesh Khan is not going to T20 World Cup. Thus, Bumrah, Bhuvi, Pandya, Arshdeep and Harshal can be selected for the T20 World Cup.
