Jeep Avenger is the brand’s smallest SUV
The Avenger, Jeep’s smallest SUV, will launch in Europe in the first half of 2023 and will be the first to use the Stellantis small STLA platform. There will also be a mild hybrid Avenger that will use the CMP platform, but details about its powertrain are still scarce. More details about the Avenger will be revealed on October 17 during the 2022 Paris Motor Show.
Jeep claims the small SUV has an estimated range of around 400 km. It will be powered by Jeep’s electric motors producing 95 horsepower, with either two or four installed depending on the variant. With four electric motors, it can produce up to 400 horsepower.
The Avenger will also be available in two-wheel drive and four-wheeler versions. Jeep claims it will give the Avenger “cool” ground clearance, good ground clearance and approach angles.
The Avenger will be manufactured at the Stellantis plant in Tychy, Poland, and will be sold in Europe, Japan and South Korea. It could also be launched in India in the future.
Avenger jeep: external and internal
Jeep unveiled the exterior design of the Avenger in March. The base SUV features a closed grille on the EV version and features an “e” badge to highlight the model’s electric features. The headlights feature a separate design with slim LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) located directly under the hood line.
In profile, the Avenger features prominent wheel arches, a prominent shoulder line and a noticeable amount of black body trim to give it its SUV character. At the rear are square taillights with X-shaped LEDs. There’s also an “e” logo on the tailgate in the lower left corner, and the bumper also has plenty of black body trim and a faux hood strip.
The interior of the Avenger’s five-seater appears with a large, free-standing touchscreen located above the central air vents. Other than that, not much has been revealed about the interior of the electric-powered small SUV.
Jeep Wagoneer S: Platform and Powertrain
The Wagoneer S – just a code name for now – will be the top model in the Jeep range. The upcoming electric SUV is likely to have a large battery that will give it a range of up to 640 km. The Jeep aims for the electric Wagoneer S to accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and produce around 600 horsepower.
Although details are scarce, the Wagoneer S will be among the first aircraft to be built on the STLA Large Stellantis platform. It will be launched by the end of 2025 and will be launched in the US first.
Jeep Wagoneer S: Exterior Design Features
The Wagoneer S will be equipped with Jeep’s signature seven-segment LED rear grille, which is flanked by slim headlights and has an LED DRL light bar. In profile, the best-in-class electric Jeep features sleek body lines and recessed door handles, along with chrome accents above the windows.
At the rear, the Wagoneer S features a sloping roofline and a large spoiler backed by D-pillars. In addition, the rear will also get an LED light strip for the taillights, highlighted by a chrome bar.
Jeep Recon: Off-Road EV
Under the hood, so to speak, the Jeep Recon Off-Road will share a similar platform, performance and range to the Wagoneer S. The Wrangler-inspired Recon will have removable doors and an open design. One-touch power function. Jeep went on to mention that the Recon has “great launch, thrust and thrust angles.”
Jeep states that the Recon will feature off-road rated capabilities with Jeep Selec-Terrain traction control, electronic locking axle technology, all-terrain tires and other off-road goodies. While details about the Recon are scarce, it is expected to rival the Ford Bronco Sport.
