J&K Police arrests 2 hybrid terrorists involved in Bandipora IED blast


Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said that it has arrested two hybrid terrorists involved in the recent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast case in Bandipora district.

According to news agency UNI, the low-intensity IED blast took place between Alosa and Kenusa in Bandipora on October 27, when an Army vehicle was passing through the area. There is no report of loss of life or property in the incident.

Additional Director General of Police, Kashmir Vijay Kumar said: Sopore Police has uncovered the recent IED blast incident in Kenusa Bandipora.

“Two hybrid terrorists Irshad Gani alias Shahid and Waseem Raja of Kenusa Bandipora have been arrested,” he said.

He said a case has been registered and investigation is on.

The term hybrid terrorist has been coined by the police for the extremists who return to normal life and have no police record.
