Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 15 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Friday that a road accident in the state’s Jashpur district, where a car was going over a group of people walking to immerse the idol of Goddess Durga, ” heartbreaker” and assured. That there will be justice to all.
In a tweet in Hindi, Baghel said, “The Jashpur incident is very sad and heart-wrenching. The culprits were immediately arrested. Prima facie action has also been taken against the police officers found guilty. An inquiry has been ordered.” No one will be spared. Justice will be given to all. May the departed soul rest in peace.”
“I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” the chief minister said.
A speeding car allegedly rammed a person and injured 16 people in a procession going for Durga idol immersion in Jashpur district’s Pathalgaon block on Friday evening.
Speaking to ANI, Block Medical Officer James Minz said, “One body has been brought dead to the hospital, while 16 others have been admitted to the hospital. Two of them were taken to other hospitals after X-rays suffered fractures. I have been referred.”
In this case, the Chhattisgarh Police has arrested two accused and assured strict action against them.
Jashpur Superintendent of Police said, “A speeding car crushed people in Pathalgaon, Jashpur, both the accused in the incident arrested. Both – Bablu Vishwakarma and Shishupal Sahu – are residents of Madhya Pradesh and were passing through Chhattisgarh. Action is being taken against them.”
