Srinagar: At least three terrorists were killed and four security personnel injured in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar district, the Jammu and Kashmir Police confirmed on Friday.
According to Jammu and Kashmir PoliceThe encounter started on Thursday evening in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar.

As the security forces reached the spot where the terrorists were hiding, they came under heavy fire, triggering an encounter.
According to the J&K Police, three policemen and a CRPF jawan were injured in the initial firing and were later shifted to a nearby hospital.
The security forces retaliated and killed three terrorists. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar confirmed that incriminating material including arms and ammunition have been recovered from the terrorists.
He also confirmed that one of the slain terrorists has been identified as Suhail Ahmed Rather of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
“As revealed earlier by the J&K Police, terrorist Suhail was also involved in the Zewan terrorist attack. All the terrorists involved in the Zewan attack have been neutralised,” IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said.
