Kharge when asked about 2024 PM face

New Delhi: Congress presidential candidate Mallikarjun Kharge gave a witty reply to a journalist’s question about the 2024 Prime Ministerial face, “Bakrid mein bachenge toh Muharram mein nachenge”.

Kharge made this statement on Wednesday in Bhopal during his election campaign for the party president.

During an interaction with reporters, he was asked who will be the Congress prime ministerial candidate in the 2024 assembly elections, will it be Rahul Gandhi or you?

Responding to this question, Kharge said that the Congress presidential election should be over first.

“First let’s let this election be over and let me be president and then we’ll see,” he said.

The 80-year-old is vying with Thiruvananthapuram Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor for the party’s top post.
