Since then this car has been wooing the customers fiercely. Now, the recent announcement made by Renault about the Chiger may attract more customers towards it. Quoting ARAI, Renault on Monday claimed that its compact SUV is certified to deliver a mileage of 20.5 kmpl.

Renault also claimed that the Chigger is giving the highest mileage in its segment (Petrol).

The Renault Kiger has two engine options, both of which are petrol units. There’s a smaller 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine that churns out 70bhp and 96Nm. This engine is available with a standard 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT unit is optional.

Apart from this, the Chigger also comes with a more powerful engine. Though this engine is also 1.0-litre in terms of power, but being turbocharged it bumps up the power to 97bhp and 160Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT. The ground clearance of this car is 205mm which is satisfactory for this segment. Chiger’s mileage also looks attractive with figures like 20/18.75 kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of Chiger is 40 liters. At the same time, the boot space of this car is 405 liters. other features

Renault has launched the Chiger in 4 variants – RXE, RXL, RXT and RXZ. The price of this car ranges from Rs 5.64 lakh to Rs 10.08 lakh. In the market, this car competes with cars like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite.
