The RJD President has multiple health issues and will undergo a kidney transplant later this month.
The Bihar politician’s daughter, who lives in Singapore, will donate a kidney to her father, PTI news agency reported on Thursday, citing a close family member.
Rohini Acharya, who lives in Singapore, “stepped in to give her father a new life,” the family member told the news outlet.
Sharing photos with her father in a tweet last month, Acharya said, “This country needs your presence so the country can fight tyrannical thinking.”

The 74-year-old returned from Singapore last month, where he had been treated for kidney problems.
The former railway minister is currently in Delhi and is out on bail. He has been jailed for his involvement in animal feed and has been hospitalized several times in Delhi and Ranchi for treatment.
