Los Angeles: American actor and TV personality Lindsay Lohan, who has largely given up on acting in recent years, took a trip down memory lane and shared a picture from an iconic scene from her popular film ‘Mean Girls’.
On his Instagram handle on Sunday, the actor shared a still from a scene from the film in which Cady (Lohan) talks about her big crush on Aaron (Jonathan Bennett) and says, “On October 3rd, he asked me What day it was.” Lohan captioned the picture as, “It’s October 3. #meangirls #itsoctober3rd.”
Mean Girls fans flooded the post with likes and comments. “They don’t make movies like this anymore,” wrote one fan. “Happy October 3rd,” added another.
Variety reported in May that Lohan would soon star in an upcoming film titled the upcoming Netflix holiday rom-com. Lohan will play a “new busy, spoiled hotel heiress” who suffers amnesia after a skiing accident and finds herself the owner of a beautiful, blue-collar lodge and her precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. Finds care.
The rest of the cast has not been announced yet. Lohan rose to fame as an 11-year-old actor in 1998, starring in the reboot of ‘The Parent Trap’. She followed this with the remakes of “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls”, both roles cementing her status as an A-list star.
In early 2010, after being harassed by the paparazzi and tabloids due to personal issues that made her uninsurable briefly due to her chronic absence, Lohan withdrew from acting. She eventually moved abroad, living in both Europe and Dubai.
Since then, she has sporadically undertaken projects, such as the only good thing in Paul Schrader’s 2013 film, “The Canyons”, appearing in the 2014 West End production of “Speed-the-Plow” , which is a recurring on British TV comedy. “Sick Note” in 2018, starred in the MTV reality show “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club” in 2019, and later that year she appeared as a judge on the Australian version of “The Masked Singer”.
