Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Monday that Madhya Pradesh has become the number one state in providing first dose vaccine to maximum number of people.

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Monday that Madhya Pradesh has become the number one state in providing first dose vaccine to maximum number of people.


Addressing an event, the Chief Minister said, “There is paucity of funds but I have decided that whatever happens, I will ensure that the Jhirnya Irrigation Project, which has an estimated cost of Rs 1,400 crore…. have to take a loan.” Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh has become the number one state in providing first dose vaccine to maximum number of people.


“A total of 6.11 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Madhya Pradesh till September 26. A total of 86 per cent eligible persons have been given the first dose,” he said.


Taking a jibe at the Congress, Chouhan said, “Digvijay Singh, there was no electricity for two hours under your rule. They went on farmers’ dharna to perform gimmicks. During Diggi’s rule, farmers were not even getting water for irrigation. He didn’t build an irrigation project.”


Taking a jibe at former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Chouhan said, “He has become a Twitter master. He cannot go between the people and the farmers. Their job is only to tweet.


He alleged that Kamal Nath closed schemes like Sambal citing paucity of funds. He said that Kamal Nath has a problem with the schemes for the benefit of laborers and workers. (ANI)
