New Delhi: Ahead of the festive season in India, the hopes of many automakers have got a setback. In fact, the sales graph of many auto companies has declined in September-2021. The rising prices of petrol and diesel, the slowdown caused by the Corona epidemic and the global chip crisis are being blamed for this, due to which automakers have had to slow down their production.
Let us tell you that Mahindra sold only 28,112 units in September-2021, which is less than the total 35,920 units sold during the same month last year. Of these, only 13,134 passenger vehicles were sold. In September last year, Mahindra sold 14,857 passenger cars which include Bolero, Scorpio, XUV500, XUV300, TUV300 etc.
However, the last month has proved to be satisfactory for Mahindra in terms of exports. Mahindra exported 2,529 units in September-2021, an increase of 60 per cent from 1,569 units in September last year.

Mahindra has launched two SUVs in the Indian market in the last one year, which include Thar and Bolero Neo. But despite initial success, both these new SUVs have not been able to increase Mahindra’s sales volume in the last month.
Mahindra now has high hopes from its upcoming SUV, the XUV700, which was launched only last week. The company has fixed the starting price of this car at ₹ 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
