Mahindra XUV300 Turbosport launched in India, know price

New Delhi: Mahindra has launched the new XUV300 TurboSport in India, priced between Rs 10.35-12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new 1.2-litre T-GDi turbo petrol engine is the XUV300’s most powerful powerplant, ahead of the existing 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5 diesel engines. This new engine was available in three higher trims of the XUV300 – W6, W8 and W8(O).

Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport: Powerful engine

The XUV300 TurboSport is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 130bhp, 230Nm (250Nm with overboost) and is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Compared to the existing 1.2-litre MPFI turbo petrol engine, the new engine features a 250 bar GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) fuel system that improves performance and fuel economy. Mahindra accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 5 seconds with the XUV300 TurboSport.

The XUV300 also features a mild hybrid start-stop system that further improves fuel economy and lowers CO2 emissions, and Mahindra claims the new engine has a fuel consumption of 18.2 kpl.

This new engine produces 20bhp and 30Nm more than the older 110bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol, making the XUV300 the most powerful compact SUV in its class. In addition to both turbo gasoline engines, a 1.5-liter, 115 HP diesel engine will also operate.
