New Delhi: Malayalam actor Mamukkoya was in Malappuram to launch the Poongod Janakeeya Sevens Football Tournament when he collapsed at the event. The actor complained of feeling uncomfortable and passed out on the football field itself as the crowd gathered around him to take a selfie. He was brought to a private hospital in Kozhikode where he is reportedly doing well.
Before moving into Malayalam cinema and becoming a well-known comedian and actor, Mamukkoya worked as a stage performer. He appeared in more than 450 films and received two state awards.

Fans took to social media to wish the veteran actor a speedy recovery.
Although there are unconfirmed rumors that the actor suffered a heart attack, there have been no official reports. He is said to be in the ICU at a private hospital in Kozhikode.
The 76-year-old actor hails from Malayalam. He even participated in the Swiss film Flammen im Paradies. He has two Kerala state awards for Perumazhakkalam and Innathe Chintha Vishayam and is a father of four children.
