Man mesmerises king cobra with footwork, captures it: Watch

New Delhi: King cobras, one of the most venomous snakes in the world, are also some of the longest reptiles. Catching a king cobra is not easy. However, a new viral video has proved to be something else.

In a new viral video shared on social media by IFS Sushant Nanda, a man in uniform can be seen trying to catch the King Cobra in a new way.

The video shows the man placing his hands on his hips, pushing his hood down slowly to the ground before distracting the king cobra and bringing it under submission. Nanda wrote in the caption of the video, “That snake was also surprised by the smart drill of the man in uniform…(But don’t try it if you are not trained).”

While one person is seen shooting the video, another person can be seen standing next to him, presumably to offer any assistance if needed.

Generally, king cobras avoid collisions with humans wherever possible and run away from areas.

The video must have been shot inside a forest or someplace where the hooded snake had unknowingly reached.

The king cobra is the national reptile of India and occupies a prominent place in Hindu mythology and folk traditions, with a prominent place in legends. The species is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List and threatened by habitat destruction.
