New Delhi: Actress Mandana Karimi has decided to leave Bollywood as she claims there is no respect for women in the profession, with applause on the small screen being greeted by MeToo and producer Sajid Khan being accused of disgrace. She also said she was not surprised that he was back in the spotlight without any consequences after the accusations. For the unseasoned, Karimi was one of many women who came out more than four years ago to accuse Sajid of abusing his position of power.

“Honestly, I am not surprised to see him again in the spotlight. For people, life has become as if I am going to put my head in the sand. If it will benefit me, and I can earn money, who cares? This explains why the MeToo movement in India and many other countries has not reached Anywhere.

She continues, “A few women came and talked and that was it. What business? Who’s boycotting these people? Nothing’s going to happen. Because we’re talking about the larger industry, which is a place where someone is a mother, boyfriend, girlfriend or husband.” It’s like you, you’re scratching my back, and I’ll scratch your back.”

Since Salman Khan introduced Sajid as a participant in Bigg Boss, there has been outrage on social media, with some criticizing the channel and the show’s creators for dubbing Sajid on the MeToo accuser while his name has not been cleared of the allegations.

Mandana Karimi was last seen on Kangana Ranaut’s reality show Lock Upp.
