Actor Adam Shapiro has joined the cast of Maria Schrader-directed “She Said”, based on the 2017 historical investigation that uncovered Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s patterns of serial sexual misconduct.
Los Angeles: Actor Adam Shapiro has joined the cast of Maria Schrader-directed “She Said”, based on the 2017 historical investigation that uncovered Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein’s patterns of serial sexual misconduct.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey’s best-selling “She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement,” an adaptation inspired by their Pulitzer Prize-winning work in The New York City. Nonfiction book. The Times About Weinstein That Inspired the #MeToo Movement. Shapiro is set to play Kantor’s husband alongside Zoe Kazan, with Carey Mulligan playing Twohey. Samantha Morton, Andre Brugger and Patricia Clarkson also star.
Schrader is directing the Universal Pictures project from a screenplay adapted by Rebecca Lenkiewicz. Plan B of Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner is producing for Annapurna Pictures along with Megan Ellison and Sue Neagle. The film is scheduled to release on November 18, 2022.
Shapiro was most recently seen in David Fincher’s “Monk” and reprises his role as Mr. Shapiro in the next season of the Netflix hit “Never Have I Ever”. Shapiro’s other credits include the critically acclaimed “The Good Lord Bird”, “The Affair”, “Kingdom”, “Sense 8” and “Steve Jobs”.
