New Delhi: Mayawati, party leader of Bahujan Samaj, paid tribute to party founder Kanshi Ram with flowers on the anniversary of his death on Sunday.

Remembering Ram, Mayawati said that power is the master key that can open the locked doors of progress, so the mission started by Kanshi Ram must be continued at all costs.

Mayawati tweeted: “Honoring and paying homage to the founder of BAMCEF, DS4 and the Bahujan Samaj Party, Shri Kanshi Ram ji, on his death anniversary for bringing Bahujan Samaj to political power and making it a dominant society here. Heartfelt thanks to all his followers who bow to him.”

Speaking of power being the master key that can open the locked doors of progress, the BSP Supremo said: “By gaining power four times through their party, the people of the country, especially UP, have seen that power is a such master key is that can open all floodgates of progress, so this mission must be continued at all costs. That is the message of the day and we have to work with that determination.”

The Bahujan Samaj are tired of demanding their constitutional and legal rights in the 75 years since independence, she said in another tweet.

Now they have to get involved in the campaign with full force to become “Hukmran Samaj”. Any next election held in UP can be your test, where success will prove a new ray of hope, she added.

Kanshi Ram, also known as Bahujan Nayak, was an Indian politician and social reformer who advocated the uplift and political mobilization of backward class people.
