Mercedes-Benz GLB and EQB SUV will debut on THIS date!


New Delhi: Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the launch dates for the GLB and its electric version, the Mercedes-Benz EQB. These two luxury SUV cars will be launched in India on December 2nd. It will be offered in a 7-seat configuration. We report that GLB’s world premiere took place about 2.5 years ago, while its EQS electric version was introduced in April 2021. The EQS will be the company’s first 7-seater electric car.

Mercedes-Benz plans to position the GLB between the GLA and the GLC. In addition to being full of luxury, this car also gives the feeling of a rugged SUV. It will come with a compact design and boxy style. In these, the third row of passenger seats will also be available. It can be said that it will be a luxury SUV competitor like Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector and Tata Safari. At the same time, entry-level cars from BMW and Audi will also have competition from them.

The interior layout and premium upholstery of the two (GLB and EQB) will see many similarities. These include an integrated digital setup for the digital instrument cluster and a central MBUX touchscreen infotainment system. Features such as ambient lighting, electrically adjustable front seat with massage function and a premium audio system can be offered in these. A choice of 2-litre petrol and diesel engines can be found in the GLB. At the same time, a 66.5kwh battery can be offered in the EQB.

Both can come with all-wheel drive. The electric SUV can offer a range of more than 400 km on a full charge. Booking for these two Mercedes-Benz SUVs has begun. Customers can book them with a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh. The price of the Mercedes-Benz GLB can start from Rs 55 lakhs, while the electric version can start from Rs 65 lakhs. Both prices are ex-showroom.
