New Delhi: A routine medical examination at a girls’ hostel caused an uproar when a minor girl was found to be pregnant. The girl was found to be 3 months pregnant.

During the interrogation of the girl, it was revealed that her 40-year-old cousin had sexually abused her. Currently, the child welfare committee is talking about the abortion of the girl child. The report was made at the women’s police station. The police started further action.

The shocking case is from Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh. The accused was the 13-year-old minor son of his aunt.

The victim, who was in the seventh grade, said that his parents had died earlier. After her sister got married, she was sent to a hostel.

Almost two months ago, when she came home, her 40-year-old aunt’s son raped her continuously for a month. Her cousin assaulted her when she tried to protest and threatened to kill her.

Fearing this, he did not tell anyone about the incident and came back to the hostel.

During a routine medical examination at the girls’ hostel, it was revealed that the minor is 3 months pregnant. The caretaker of the hostel informed the child welfare committee about this. When the team counseled the girl, she recounted her ordeal.

Regarding the matter, Additional SP Sameer Yadav said that action is being taken as per rules. Meanwhile, the girl was admitted to the Vidisha district hospital for an abortion, as reported by the media.
